Commencing my day with coffee and a drive to the Palmerston North office, the dynamic nature of my role keeps me engaged!

Once I’ve made a to-do list for the day and checked when my meetings are, I grab my mug and start the day.

To prepare for the site work, I help the geotechnical engineer and senior engineering geologist carefully pick the borehole locations among an array of buried underground services.

Meeting with the billing team to discuss any urgent news about new products, changes, or couponing that need to be resolved by the end of the week.

One of my favourite parts of the team is the culture which focuses on fostering learning and development at all levels... the weekly training gives us a chance to all learn from each other leveraging off the experience of all members of the team.

I like to get to work early as it means I can leave early and have more time to do the things I love after work! I generally get in the office around this time and go through my emails while I eat my breakfast- which is my overnight oats.

I meet regularly with other government agencies to update them on what is happening internationally, so I review the latest information and determine the key points that I’ll contribute for MFAT.

My tasks really vary depending on the day and what is necessary for the project at the time
