8.4
8.4 rating for Management, based on 9 reviews
How accessible are managers and do they make good mentors? You may want to address internal communication, performance feedback or praise and recognition.
Generally, satisfied. If not direct managers, there are others within the team that are mentors. Sometimes managers are not always easily accessible.

Managers are always available whether that be face to face or via phone and email. They are more than happy to help you develop and grow. They want to see you achieve your priorities for the year so will help you get there.

My manager is a great mentor, always involves me in tasks that will help me learn and develop and is very approachable.

I get on really well with my manager - I am so appreciative that they hired me permanently and have continued to support my career progression (particularly coming from a graduate role). My manager is not always accessible, but I am finding ways of approaching them. I have turned to other members of my team with experience as mentors to help with my day to day job and development ideas etc.

Varies from manager to manager. Not a lot of recognition. Internal communication can be better to understand what is happening cross-functionally.
Graduate, Macquarie Park
My manager is a strong communicator and makes time at least once a week to chat about WIP, roadblocks and other things. Praise and recognition is good and I should seek more feedback.
Graduate, Sydney
Very supportive and accessible. Actively mentor and help in your development planning.

So far all my managers have been excellent.
