Recruitment Process

We have launched our 2025 Graduate Program with three streams available for you to consider – Agronomy, Agribusiness and Corporate, so no matter whether you have studied agribusiness, ag science, IT, HR, Communications, Finance or Business, we have the unique career experience for you! WHAT CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS?

Nutrien Recruitment Process
  1. Application: We will advertise our Graduate Programs for 4 weeks before commencing the recruitment process so please don’t be disheartened if you don’t hear from us immediately.
  2. Phone Interview: All applicants will be reviewed, and selected candidates will progress to a virtual interview in July with a member of our Talent Attraction Team. You can expect these interviews to go for about 30 minutes.
  3. Final Interview: Short-listed candidates will proceed to a final round interview in July with key stakeholders within our business relevant to your role. This interview will be held either face-to-face or virtually and will last for approximately 1 hour.
  4. Due Diligence: Selected applicants will be progressed to pre-employment reference checks, background checks* and VEVO (visa) checks.
  5. Offer: Successful graduates will be offered a position in June 2024, to commence the role in February 2025.

WHAT DOES A SUCCESSFUL NUTRIEN GRADUATE LOOK LIKE?

You need to have completed a Diploma, Bachelor degree (or higher qualification) for our Agronomy stream before the start of the 2024 program in Ag Science or a related field, and a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher qualification) for all other Graduate streams in either Agribusiness, Finance, Communications, Human Resources, Business Management, Technology or a related degree. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a willingness to learn, strong communication skills, problem solving skills and leadership potential. 

Experience in the agriculture industry is not required, however we are keen to speak to those that have a genuine interest in learning more about the industry.
