We have an opportunity to join Ixom Water Treatment Systems Business as a Vacation Student, based in Melbourne. This unique position will see you develop some practical skills and gain real work experience in the water industry; while working with experienced process engineers.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager you will be assisting the process engineering team, the project team and the operation team as follows:

• Reviewing and analysing data such as water quality, operational plant performance, etc..
• Assisting in preparing documents such as design basis, commissioning documents, operation and maintenance manual, standard operating procedures, plant performance reports etc…
• Liaising with suppliers and procuring equipment
• Assisting in performing detailed process design calculations such as equipment sizing, mass balance and equipment selection
• Other project deliverables as required
• The Vacation Program will run from November 2021 to February 2022 (dates flexible).

Ixom is looking for people who have:

• Currently on track to complete a degree in Chemical Engineering
• Excellent reporting writing skills and attention to detail
• Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
• A well-rounded background with some work experience and an interest in extracurricular activities
• A positive, inquisitive nature with the drive to excel and exceed expectations
• An open and inclusive attitude, and a hunger for knowledge and experience
• Full rights to work in Australia
