Celebrates diversity

Honeywell is very firm on inclusivity for women and uploads fantastic ethics and values. I witnessed this during my assessment centre as all participants were of different backgrounds.

There are a lot of support groups, but in terms of what the company itself is doing there isn't a lot. For example, there is a female support network, but there aren't more female engineers being hired to improve the gender balance. A lot of emails go out but seems more like a tick ox than actually caring, otherwise they'd do more in the office to celebrate/recognise things (e.g. verbal communcaitons for wear it purple)

In engineering there's a huge issue with diversity across the board, and it's hard for well-established companies to escape this. My company is doing what it can to bring in a diverse range of people, but I personally find myself working in a team of 15 males. People are respectful but it can be a very blokey environment and retention of employees is not good. I don't know what their child care policies are like. People seem happy with the maternity leave/paternity leave arrangements.

The company is very vocal regarding its commitments. Information regarding the policies and efforts is shared regularly
