Your role

Unique to Bank of America is its provision of a Chief Resource Officer (CRO). The CRO’s sole purpose is to manage and optimize the junior banker experience in a very hands-on manner. The CRO partners closely with senior leadership to instil the firm’s culture, ensure work/life balance and provide a well-rounded, fun and value-added experience for junior bankers.

As a summer analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining complex financial models.
  • Performing various financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences.
  • Conducting comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research.
  • Preparation of presentations and other materials for clients.
  • Participation in due diligence sessions, communications and interaction with deal team members.
  • Management of several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team. Work on projects alongside bankers in specific industry, product and country coverage groups, providing you with a unique learning opportunity.
  • Help the team deliver solutions to clients leveraging the full spectrum of the bank's capabilities.
  • Develop and leverage upon a truly global network - learn from, and work with, teams consisting of professionals drawn from across the business, including senior bankers within your group, experts in other areas of the firm and colleagues from around the globe.
  • Build relationships, knowledge and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future career options and opportunities.

Training & development

Program Overview:

The Summer program is a 10-week program designed to provide Summer Analysts with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to life at Bank of America and also make significant contributions to the team. The Summer program begins with an orientation and induction to the firm. Summer Analysts are given a true associate experience, as assignments mirror full-time responsibility and include goal-setting and a formal review process.

  • Structured and on-the-job training.

About you

Qualifications:

  • Penultimate year Undergraduate/Master’s student with outstanding academic achievement seeking a summer internship with a pipeline to 2025 full-time employment.
  • Must demonstrate a track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities.
  • Demonstrate a combination of strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus.
  • Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communication skills.
  • Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, team focus.
  • Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities.
  • Comfortable with change and adjusts to changing demands and requirements.
  • Demonstrates energy & drive and dedication to building a career in the investment banking industry.
  • Fluency in English is essential, appropriate Asian language skills are also essential.
